We discussed earlier this year that we are planning on dedicating a bench in memory of Sheila Cheimets. Ben Gavin has taken the lead on this has been in touch with her family.
The text was written by her grandchildren and modeled after other examples provided by Browne fund.
Below is what Sheila Cheimets’ family would like the park plaque to say.
“Dedicated to Sheila Cheimets, who loved this city and this neighborhood, and who, through her efforts, made this park possible.”
We are looking for approval on this wording so that Ben can get the plaque done before the May 19th event
