Mission Statement

The Friends of Chester Park, in partnership with the City of Boston, is committed to the restoration, maintenance, and enhancement of the once-unified park for the betterment of the community and all its visitors.

Objectives

Chester Park

  • Reconnect the once unified park and its community
  • Provide support to ensure the park remains a safe and welcoming environment
  • Encourage the productive use of the park for a wide range of community activities and events
  • Plan and advocate for park maintenance and enhancement
  • Raise funds for the park through grants and community partnerships
  • Create a more prominent gateway to Boston

New Summer Programming

Sundays @ the Fountain 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM:

  • June 7
  • July 12
  • August 2
  • September 6

Beginning June 2026, the Friends of Chester Park will host monthly social hours around the Fountain(s) inside Chester Park.

• Bring a snack or drink to share with your neighbors
• There will be rakes, trash pickers, gloves, and trash bags for a quick cleanup of the park
• Games and “kid-size” tools will be available so all can join in
