Dear MBTA Riders and Interested Parties, The MBTA invites you to attend a community meeting to introduce the Key Bus Route Improvement Program. The project’s goal is to improve overall quality of service for customers on the Key Bus Routes by providing a more reliable, faster service with enhanced  bus stop amenities. Bus Route 1 operates between Harvard Square and Dudley Station via Massachusetts Avenue, Central Square Cambridge, and Back Bay. It provides high frequency service to these areas in addition to serving important destinations such as Harvard University, MIT,  Boston Medical Center, Symphony Hall, and several shopping centers. It also provides connections to the Red, Green, Orange and Silver Lines as well as many other bus routes including Key Bus Routes 15, 28, 39, 66, 71, 73 and 77 and the following local and  crosstown routes – CT1, 8, 14, 19, 23, 41, 42, 44, 45, 47, 55, 64, 68, 66, 70/70A, 72, 74, 75, 78, 83, 86, 96, 170, and 171. The following meetings will discuss potential improvements to Bus Route 1. Please join us to share your ideas.
